In association with Galway City Arts Office, Engage Art Studios brings an exciting programme for these cold months ahead - WINTER PAPERS - This season the new gallery in Salthill showcases visual artists featured in Ireland’s leading arts anthology, Winter Papers.

‘Alleys and Rivers of the East’ is a series of artworks by artist Jonathan Brennan on the theme of alleyways, greenways and rivers in East Belfast.

A group exhibition featuring work by Lucy Turner, Eamonn McCrory, Linda McBurney, Penny Brewill, Jonathan Brennan and Judtih Logan.

The Belfast Print Workshop have spruced up their studio walls and print browsers with beautiful new work from our artist-members and now they would like to show it off. 

In a constant state of flux, let us see practice as process. In orbit we accentuate the transient, the never ending and the non-conclusive . Pushing towards a point of collapse we can capture the avenues of the inbetween.

Holding a discarded object in a junk shop, exploring its contours, feeling the patina it has acquired over time and use, one feels that the object could tell a story. Imagining that story is fanciful, yet tempting and inevitable.

Vault Artist Studios began as the Belfast Bankers in late 2016. Adam Turkington received a mysterious email that contained an extraordinarily generous offer: would he be able to make use of an old Ulster Bank building in East Belfast for a year? ‘Yes’ was his immediate reply.

The exhibition will feature framed prints by BPW members - both the new and those who have been with the workshop since the beginning - working across range of techniques.

Winter Artworks was a "extra special Xmas exhibition of winter themed artworks by established and emerging artists".
